Recent snapshots: Fall 2014

I can't believe the Christmas season is here. This past week I had to kick my rear into high gear and get most of my shopping finished and my decorating planned. We have family coming into town this week for Thanksgiving and we're getting our Christmas tree on Friday, so I wanted to have my mantel and other areas of the house already finished before then because I know once that weekend hits, it's all holiday craziness from there.

But before the craziness begins (this afternoon), let's reflect on fall. Baby B had lots of firsts this fall - his first time his chubby little feet hit sand (and ocean), first trip to the pumpkin patch, first Halloween, and of course, first time cheering me on in a race (a few races, actually). It flew by way too fast, but at least I got a lot of pictures to remember it.

The beach

There is nothing quite like the joy of a baby experiencing the ocean washing over his little feet for the first time and wiggling his little toes in the sand. We've got a beach bum on our hands, I'm sure of it.

Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch

This will be even more fun in the coming years as B gets older and understands it, but we still had a good time taking him on a hayride and wandering around.

Halloween

I decorated our front porch and we even managed to get the dogs out to an event to show off their costumes. B was a beagle and the dogs were the three little piggies and the big bad wolf. My company has a family-friendly Halloween party, so D and I dressed up as football players (opposing teams - him: Steelers, me: Panthers) and B was a football.

And the dogs have been extremely busy as well. As you can see.
